How We Communicate Our primarily communication tool is e-mail. By signing up to our Yahoo! newsgroup scatowers, you will receive our electronic newsletter, The Oubliette, and get information on other happenings in the Canton. This is a low-volume list. Additionally you may want to sign up for the Barony of Carolingia's electronic mailing list. It's supposed to be relatively-low traffic, but sometimes.... That list is automatically maintained using the Majordomo mailing list system. To join, send mail to majordomo@bloom-beacon.mit.edu containing a single line, saying "subscribe carolingia ". To leave the list, do the same thing, but the line should say "unsubscribe carolingia ". Once you've subscribed, you can send mail to the members of the list by mailing to carolingia@bloom-beacon.mit.edu . There is also a relatively low-volume version of the mailing list, which is only for announcements; all discussions should happen on the main list. Subscribing, unsubscribing, and sending to the announcement list are all the same as the above, but use "carolingia-announce" instead of "carolingia". Note that all mail sent to carolingia-announce also goes to carolingia, so if you subscribe to the full carolingia list, you do not need to subscribe to carolingia-announce. Similarly, if you send a message to carolingia-announce, please do not send it to carolingia -- it will be sent there automatically. Note: You can't subscribe or unsubscribe by sending mail to the carolingia@bloom-beacon.mit.edu address; you'll just annoy all the subscribers instead.
